Teenage DJ’s 16th birthday on the sofa with Miss England
A teenage radio junkie from Mill Hill is preparing to spend his 16th birthday listening to himself presenting his new radio show with his co-host, a former Miss England.
James Gilmore, who turns 16 on Saturday, is the envy of London after recording his new show with Georgia Horsley (pictured with James, right), the fiancee of McFly star Danny Jones.
The show – called Georgia and James – is due to be broadcast on Saturday afternoon, but despite his tender years, Gilmore is a veteran DJ, having founded Wizard Radio four years ago at the age of 12.
“This is the biggest project yet,” he says. “But I’m is battling with the life of an average teenager, with GCSEs on their way!”
His radio station has grown its teenage fanbase internationally, and despite not yet turning a profit, James has had the pleasure of interviewing guests such as Katy Perry, Richard Ayoade and Colin Firth.
