Tracy Ann Oberman ‘reeling’ after resigning from Labour over Livingstone
Ex-EastEnders star says she 'feels so let down' by decision to not expel Ken Livingstone from Labour
Former EastEnders star Tracy Ann Oberman said she was quitting Labour over the failure to expel Mr Livingstone.
She tweeted: “Like so many of us whose East End heritage was steeped in Labour, I’m reeling today. Resigning my membership. Feel so let down.”
The decision by a disciplinary panel to suspend Mr Livingstone for a further year because of the comments has sparked outrage from a number of Labour MPs, and Jewish community figures.
Amongst the most vocal critics, have been Sadiq Khan, deputy leader of Labour Tom Watson, and Luciana Berger, a Jewish MP for Liverpool Wavertree.
