Trampolinist Josh is heading for the Euros
Josh Newman has been selected to represent Great Britain at the European Trampoline Championships in Valladolid, Spain at the end of the month.
The 17-year-old will be competing in the Individual and Synchro events – with Rhys Northover, as well as in the team event with three other team mates.
Josh said: “I went to the European trial last weekend with a slight knee injury so was thrilled to have been selected for GB and am really looking forward to the competition.
“I have a GB training camp next weekend, followed by a four-day training camp a week before we leave for Spain. I’m always confident in my ability and on my best form, believe I can win a medal in the individual and synchro, and hopefully as a team. I will do my best and hope my form is good enough to win medals. I’m unbeaten for 16 months in all competitions, this is a higher level, but I can do it.”
