Two men given community resolution orders after water pistol attack on Jews
Pair avoid court after viral video showed them spraying Orthodox Jews with water in racially aggravated stunt
Two men who filmed themselves spraying water at traditionally dressed Jews in Bolton have avoided court after being handed community resolution orders.
The pair, aged 26 and 36, were arrested on 7 August on suspicion of racially aggravated common assault after a video emerged online showing two men laughing inside a Kia car as they used water pistols on visibly Jewish pedestrians in Farnworth.
One of the men was named by Jewish News as Jestem Kamil Galanty, a UK resident originally from Poland and part of a group calling itself konsp1ra, which runs social media accounts on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. In his online biography, Galanty describes himself as “Jesus First. Polish. Athlete. Artist.”
The water pistol footage, posted on Instagram account @konsp1ra, was set to the Jewish song Hava Nagila and follows a string of videos by the same group. Other clips show several Polish men targeting religious Jewish men in an airport and supermarket, playing “pranks” such as simulating theft with an Apple Pay sound effect, and using captions including “Jew-jitsu” alongside a moneybag emoji. The group’s accounts also feature boxing gym footage and challenges to local police officers to spar.
On Tuesday, Greater Manchester Police said both suspects had been given community resolution orders – an informal outcome which can include an apology – after the victims confirmed they were “happy with the outcome” and did not want the matter to proceed to court.
The Community Security Trust (CST), which had earlier described the original videos as “appalling,” previously thanked police for their “swift action” in making the arrests.
