Two teenagers seriously injured by bus in Stamford Hill

The girls were treated at the scene by the Hatzola emergency service. One of the victims is understood to have life-threatening injuries.

Two 14-year-old girls are in hospital after being seriously injured by a bus on  Monday evening in Stamford Hill

The crash took place on Amhurst Park at 5:02pm, the Metropolitan Police said.

The Mayor of Hackney Philip Glanville tweeted: “Awful to hear about this accident in Stamford Hill, first thoughts with those injured in the accident and all those from the community and emergency services who went to help them.”

According to the newspaper Hamodia the bus was mounted the pavement and hit a traffic pole. One girl was hit by the bus, and the other by the pole. The victims are believed to be cousins.
