U14 Lions seal Watford League title
London Maccabi Lions clinched the Watford Friendly League U14 White Division title following a successful season.
The team won the title having won 15 of their 18 League games, drawing two others and losing just the one. Their feat was all the more noteworthy having scored 75 goals in the process – which included having the two top goalscorers – while conceding just 14 goals,
The side also reached the League cup final loosing on penalties and got knocked out narrowly in the semi final of the county cup.
Managed by both Mark Rose and Darryl Lazarus, the pair said: “We’re very proud of these boys and what they have achieved, and are looking forward to a break and starting again in the Red Division next season.”
