U8 Lions win Watford Friendly League title
Youngsters lift title with unbeaten record and conceding just one goal!
Maccabi London Lions Green’s were celebrating on Sunday morning after they emerged victorious at the Watford Friendly League U8’s football festival.
Held at Northwood FC, the team were drawn in a tough group including Borehamwood Youth FC, Harvesters FC, Omonia Youth, Croxley Green FC and Whetstone Wanderers.
Manager Joshau Pater said: “The boys battled hard all day and their football drew praise from opposition fans and officials. Lions played as a team and stuck to their football, which was enough to secure top spot, going unbeaten all day and only conceding a single goal.
“Finishing as winners is the perfect reward for their effort and dedication and we are all proud of how far they have come this season. We look forward to the boys progressing further in the club over the coming years.”
