UK ambassador marks Remembrance Sunday in Israel
Britain’s ambassador to Israel marked Remembrance Sunday at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Ramleh.
David Quarrey held a ceremony to remember those who fell in First and Second World Wars.
He laid the first wreath on behalf of The Queen, before a service at the Jewish area of the cemetery.
David Quarrey said: “Today we remember those who fought for Britain and her allies. We remember the unimaginable sacrifice of successive generations who fought for freedom. And we remember all those who have fallen in war.”
