UK and Israel sign memorandum to fight terror targeting transport
The British Ambassador to Israel has signed an agreement with Israel’s transport minister, to work more closely fighting terrorism aimed at transport systems.
The Memorandum of Understanding on Transport Security was signed by David Quarrey and Israel’s transport minister, Yisrael Katz, on Wednesday.
It will allow experts from the two countries to work closely together to combat crime and terror targeting transport systems.
British Ambassador to Israel David Quarrey said: “I am delighted to sign this Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the British Government.. The UK and Israel have shared cooperation in a number of areas including trade, science, technology and tackling shared security threats, and this latest agreement is yet another example of the strong ties that bind our two countries together.”
