UK-Israel ‘bromance’ to be rekindled at BICOM dinner
The biggest ‘bromance’ in UK-Israel relations will be rekindled on stage for BICOM’s annual dinner later this month.
Ron Prosor, the outspoken former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations who once headed the Israeli embassy in the UK, will be in conversation with Tim Marshall, the former Sky News foreign affairs correspondent.
“We are thrilled to have Ron and Tim speaking together,” said BICOM chief executive James Sorene. “It is undoubtedly the biggest ‘bromance’ in Britain-Israel relations.”
The two became friends years ago, when Prosor was Israel’s press attache in London, briefing journalists such as Marshall, and now the pair are top billing at the prestigious annual event.
“We haven’t gone for speeches as we want them to have a little debate instead,” added Sorene. “It promises to be very good.”
