WATCH: The lazy way to make challah… in a bag!
Jewish cooking page 'Jewlish' have taken the hassle out of making challah. Why not try it out!
Ever wondered how you can make challah without the hassle?
Online Jewish cooking page ‘Jewlish’ have come up with an ingenious method for making your shabbat favorite… using a simple plastic bag.
With as little mess as possible, all you need to do is add yeast, water, sugar, salt, oil and 3 cups of flour into a ziplock bag, and shake.
After mixing the ingredients in the bag, place it in a bowl of warm water for half an hour, before adding another quarter-cup of flour, and giving it another shake.
Leave it for one hour to rise, before you turn your dough in challah. Braid three plats, baste with egg and sprinkle seeds, before baking for 40 minutes.
