West Ham United marks Holocaust Memorial Day
Premier League side paid tribute prior to Wednesday's match against Manchester City.
West Ham United marked Holocaust Memorial Day by lighting six commemoration candles before last night’s Premier League match against Manchester City.
Sir Trevor Brooking presented a short film which was played on the big screen, while co-chairman David Gold was among those who lit a candle at the London Stadium. He was joined by 87-year-old Holocaust survivor Harry Spiro, who went on to have a successful career in London as a tailor – including making suits worn by Sir Trevor and the rest of West Ham United’s victorious 1980 FA Cup-winning team.
