William and Kate ‘utterly condemn’ Hamas
Unprecedented public statement from Prince and Princess of Wales who "hold all the victims, their families and their friends in their hearts and minds"
In an unprecedented statement, the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine, have “utterly condemned” the Hamas attacks on Israel. Not mincing words, the statement begins: “The Prince and Princess of Wales are profoundly distressed by the devastating events that have unfolded in the past days. The horrors inflicted by Hamas’s terrorist attack upon Israel are appalling”.
The royal couple say that “as Israel exercises its right of self defence, all Israelis and Palestinians will continue to be stalked by grief, fear and anger in the time to come”.
William and Kate say that they “hold all the victims, their families and their friends in their hearts and minds”.
Recalling his 2018 visit to Israel, Prince William said that those he met then “overwhelmingly shared a common hope — that of a better future”. The royals say they “continue to share that hope without reservation”.
