Wrestler Noam Dar wins at Wembley
Scottish-Israeli wrestler Noam Dar went to battle in some of the biggest matches of his career – as he took part in a serious of matches for international wrestling company TNA last week, writes Danny Stone.
All his matches will be broadcast on Challenge TV over the coming weeks, so those who don’t want to find out how he fared, look away now!
Noam was first up in action in Glasgow at the SSE Hydro, and found the home crowd firmly behind him, as they chanted his name and cheered any offence. Teaming up with fellow Scot Kay Lee Ray in an inter-gender tag-team match against Yorkshireman Rampage Brown and wrestling superstar Gail Kim, it was a fast-paced match but Dar managed to outdo Brown, pinning him for the three-count.
The following night in Manchester saw Dar and Brown set to face off again, but sadly bad-guy ‘Bram’ interrupted their match and Noam was not to relive the glory of his previous night’s win.
However, in London, things would be different much to the delight of the Israeli fans that spoke to Noam in Hebrew during the pre-show ‘meet and greet’. Teaming again with Kay Lee Ray, but also with ‘Crazzy Steve’ and British Boot Camp winner Mark Andrews, Noam played his part in a victory over another four-person collective. He was clearly delighted with the win and partied late into the night after his Wembley victory.
Fortunately, for those that missed seeing him perform for TNA, there are plenty of chances to see Noam each week.
He will be performing in Kent for IPW (http://www.ipwuk.com/home) on Valentine’s Day, in London for Progress (http://www.progresswrestling.com/) in March and in Nottingham for ICW in April (http://insanewrestling.co.uk/events.php).
