Yavneh Primary gets top marks with ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating
The Jewish primary takes after Yavneh College which was rated 'outstanding' in 2011
Yavneh Primary School in Elstree has been rated “outstanding” by Ofsted in their first inspection since opening nearly three years ago.
The Jewish primary earned top marks in every area, taking after Yavneh College which was rated “outstanding” in 2011.
“To achieve an outstanding status in all areas is an incredible achievement,” said Executive Headteacher Spencer Lewis. “It is though, a true and accurate reflection of the excellence of Yavneh Primary School, something that we see every single day and of which we are extremely proud.”
Headteacher Caroline Field added: “It is a tremendous achievement to achieve such a high standard in a relatively short space of time and this judgement is a testament to the hard work of the staff, children, parents and governors. I am immensely proud to be the headteacher of this incredible school. “
Last week, Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis and Education Secretary Damian Hinds cut the ribbon on Yavneh Primary School’s £7m building.
Hinds, who unveiled a commemorative plaque, praised the school’s “inspirational staff who set very very high standards and set a beautiful nurturing environment.”
The full Ofsted report is expected to come out on July 25.
