Young entrepreneurs’ scented stress-balls make enterprise competition finals
Sixth-formers at Immanuel College are through to the regional Hertfordshire finals, with their 'StressLess' innovation
Jewish sixth-formers from Immanuel College in Hertfordshire have made it through to the regional finals of a Young Enterprise competition after they created a start-up selling scented stress-balls.
The five would-be entrepreneurs showed off their business flair by exhibiting their ‘company’ – called StressLess – at a trade fair held last week, where they answered questions, gave a presentation and submitted a professional company report.
The Immanuel youngsters clearly impressed, picking up multiple awards at the Young Enterprise Hertfordshire Finals, including Company of the Year and Best Presentation. They will now progress on to the East of England Finals at the University of Cambridge on 20 June.
“StressLess was outstanding,” said a college spokesman. “This is the third year in a row that one of Immanuel’s teams has made it to this elevated stage of the competition and we are incredibly proud of presenters Max Misrahi, Gemma Black, Teddy Vandermolen, Sabrina Miller and Gavriel Bauernfreund.”
The team was mentored this year by Danny Mendelsohn, whose company Textilia also made it to the Cambridge finals last year.
