AJEX calls on the Jewish community to march together at the 2026 Remembrance Parade
Solemn event at Cenotaph will also mark 90 years since the Battle of Cable Street
AJEX is calling on veterans, families and members of the Jewish community to save the date and join this year’s annual remembrance parade and ceremony at the Cenotaph, Whitehall, on Sunday 15 November 2026 at 2pm.
With the theme: ‘British. Jewish. Proud’, this year’s Parade, marking 90 years since the Battle of Cable Street, will honour the thousands of Jewish men and women who have served and fought in the Armed Rorces.
The Cable Street anniversary is particularly significant for AJEX, given its long-standing connection with the Jewish East End and the generations who stood against fascism at Cable Street and later went on to serve in the Armed Forces during the Second World War.
As part of this year’s commemorations, AJEX is also appealing for veterans, families and members of the community to come forward with memories, photographs, letters and family stories connected to Cable Street and the Jewish East End.
AJEX chief executive Fiona Palmer said: “This year’s Parade is about honouring our past and strengthening our future. At a time when it is more important than ever to stand together, we want the Jewish community to come out in force, remember those who served and show that we remain British, Jewish and proud”.
