Boris Johnson leads condemnation after brutal Stamford Hill attack
One of the victims was left with a fractured wrist and nose, whilst the other suffered an eye injury and was badly bruised.
Boris Johnson has led condemnation of the attack against two Charedi men.
He tweeted: “I’m appalled by this despicable footage, and I thank police for making a swift arrest.
This attack is a terrible reminder, on Holocaust Memorial Day, that such prejudice is not consigned to history, but remains a very real problem in society. We must stamp out antisemitism.”

Priti Patel and David Lammy have also condemned the attack which took place on Wednesday night in the Stamford Hill area.
CCTV footage of the incident shows two strictly-orthodox men being brutally assaulted by an apparent passerby. One victim was left with a fractured wrist and nose, whilst the other suffered an eye injury and was left badly bruised.

Home Secretary Priti Patel tweeted: “An absolutely despicable attack. This, on the eve of Holocaust Memorial Day, is a sickening reminder of why we must never allow antisemitism to take root. We won’t tolerate abuse towards our Jewish community.”

David Lammy, shadow Justice Minister agreed tweeting: “This is appalling. The perpetrator of this despicable antisemitic attack deserves the full force of the law.”

The Independent Advisor to the UK Government on Antisemitism John Mann retweeted Qari Asim MBE who wrote: “This is sickening and reinforces the point that Antisemitism continues to be a virus in our society.

The man responsible for the attack has since been arrested by police.
This attack comes just three months after a suspect was detained in connection to a separate spate of attacks on Jews in the Stamford Hill area.
