Chelsea launch website for ‘Say No to Antisemitism’ campaign
Blues' chairman says the site was launched because 'education is absolute key to changing attitudes and make a difference'
Chelsea Football Club has launched a new website to promote its campaign against antisemitism.
The platform will feature updates from the Blues’ initiative, launched in 2018, and funded by its Israeli owner, Roman Abramovich.
Visitors to the ‘Say No’ website can learn about its educational initiatives to battle Jew-hatred, racism and discrimination, in the game and wider society.
These include talks by Holocaust survivors, pre-match remembrance for Holocaust Memorial Day, an exhibition featuring Jewish athletes murdered by the Nazis and a fixture against New England Revolution in the United States, which raised money for causes battling hatred.
Bruce Buck, Chelsea FC Chairman commented on the launch: “Since we started our ‘Say No To Antisemitism’ campaign, we have become convinced that education is absolute key to changing attitudes and make a difference.”
In the next stage of our campaign, we have developed this new website to make the educational resources of our campaign easily accessible for all, and hopefully encourage more people to join this important cause.”
