‘Death to Jews’ migrant who crossed Channel in small boat returned to prison
Palestinian Mosab Abdulkarim Al-Gassas, who posted armed images and violent antisemitic rants, recalled to serve remainder of sentence
A Palestinian man who arrived in Britain illegally after crossing the Channel in a small boat – and who was filmed calling for the mass killing of Jews – has been sent back to prison after breaching his release conditions.
Mosab Abdulkarim Al-Gassas, also known as Abu Wadee, was jailed for nine months in May after admitting he tried to enter the UK on 6 March without valid leave or entry clearance. He documented his journey through Europe on TikTok, including footage of himself in a cramped dinghy reaching British shores, with some clips drawing millions of views.
The Mail on Sunday reported that Wadee was freed in June after serving around three months under the government’s early release scheme to ease overcrowding in prisons. He was recalled in early July for breaching license conditions and will now serve the remainder of his sentence behind bars.
Wadee’s social media accounts show him posing with a rifle and confronting Israeli forces. In a Facebook video posted last September, translated by the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA), he declared:
“Allah, it is upon you to (deal with) the Jews and those loyal to them. Allah, kill them one by one, and don’t leave a single one. Allah, destroy them completely, disperse them completely and make the earth fall from under their feet.”
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp said the case revealed a series of failures by the Labour government, accusing ministers of both “failing to control our borders” and allowing “dangerous criminals to roam our streets and put the public at risk”.
The Home Office has been contacted for comment on whether Al-Gassas will be deported after serving his sentence.
