Detectives looking for suspect accused of antisemitic attack on father and son

Officers were called at around 5.30pm on July 4 after a man in his 20s was assaulted alongside his three-year-old son in Markfield Park, the Metropolitan Police have said.
The suspect is also reported to have threatened the victims as well as the wider Jewish community.
He has been described by police as a mixed-race man of medium height and muscular build, with short hair and a tattoo on his left bicep.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white cap and riding a red-orange e-bike.
Police arrived 10 minutes after the incident was reported, and neither the father nor son needed medical treatment.
Detective Constable Benny Palmer, leading the investigation, said: “This was a shocking, unprovoked attack and we know it will cause concern to the local community.
“We’re doing all we can to identify the offender and are asking the public to get in touch with us if they have any relevant information – particularly any footage that was filmed at the park during the early evening of Saturday, July 4 or those with doorbells or dashcams near to Crawford Road, Seven Sisters.
“Across the Met, we are continuing our work to provide visible, intelligence-led and co-ordinated patrols to protect our Jewish communities and keep people safe.”
