Did Jewish designer Misha Nonoo set up Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?
New York-based fashion guru is one of the the oldest friends of the princess-to-be, and some now think she may have been the secret matchmaker
A Bahraini Jewish fashion designer is believed to be the mysterious matchmaker who introduced Prince Harry to Meghan Markle.
New York-based Misha Nonoo, one of Markle’s oldest friends, was born in the Gulf and brought up in London before being educated in Paris.
Nonoo’s ex, Alexander Gilkes, previously employed Princess Eugenie – Harry’s cousin – leading commentators to make the potentially off-centre link that Nonoo is the Royal couple’s shadchanit.
The couple revealed in a BBC interview this week that a mutual friend set them up on a blind date, but declined to name that friend for privacy reasons. A spokeswoman for Nonoo said she would not be discussing the matter.
Soldier Harry asked American actress Meghan to marry him a few weeks ago while they were cooking roast chicken. The couple are set to wed in May.
