Dozens urge UK public to ‘stay home’ during pandemic in StandWithUs campaign
University students on the organisation's Israel leadership programme took part, as did sixth formers and members
Dozens of people have recorded video messages urging the UK public to stay at home during the pandemic as part of a social media campaign organised by the pro-Israel educational organisation StandWithUs.
University students on StandWithUs’s Israel leadership programme, the Emerson Fellowship, took part, as did some sixth formers and members of StandWithUs.
Sara Sherrard, StandWithUs UK’s new executive director appointed last month, said: “I am so incredibly proud of our students for inspiring this initiative to reach out with their message that everyone should stay home, stay safe and that we here at StandWithUs, stand with them.”
StandWithUs, which was founded in Los Angeles in 2001, runs campaigns and offers leadership training and educational programmes across universities and schools.
