Thousands set for Maccabi GB Fun Run 2026
The largest Jewish communal event in the UK brings together thousands of participants, spectators and partner organisations on Sunday 21 June
The largest Jewish communal event in the UK is back for 2026, with hundreds of all ages already registered to run, jog and walk on Sunday 21 June.
A joyous celebration of health, inclusion and community, the Maccabi GB Fun Run, media partnered with Jewish News, sees participants of all fitness levels taking part to champion one of the many organisations who set up stalls as part of the Jewish Leadership Council charity fair, including Seed, Save a Child’s Heart, UJIA, Norwood, March of the Living UK, Jewish Care and Gesher School.
Organisers are expecting more than 2,000 runners and a further 3,000 spectators to attend across the day, making it one of the biggest turnouts in the event’s history.
The event runs from 10am until 3pm, with the option to take on either a 10k or 5k run, or 5k and 1k walk, with plenty of refreshment options in the food court, including waffles and crepes.
Entertainment will be provided by Vanessa Class School of Dance, the Israeli Dance Institute and Rimon Primary School Choir alongside the much-loved family fun zone, Kisharon Langdon sensory room, pitch activities and a shopping shuk complete with Jewish and Israeli-owned businesses.
Michelle Belnikoff, Director of Fundraising at Maccabi GB, said: “The Maccabi GB Community Fun Run remains one of the most anticipated and inspiring events in the Jewish communal calendar, bringing together thousands of participants, charities and supporters for a day of moving, giving and celebrating together.
“With something for everyone, from the races and charity fair to the family fun zone, food court and entertainment, the event showcases the very best of our community. Whether running, walking, volunteering or cheering from the sidelines, there are so many ways for people of all ages to be part of the day, and we look forward to making 2026 our biggest and most impactful year yet.”
The Maccabi GB Community Fun Run is sponsored by and partnered with Charity Extra, Dare 2 B, the Board of Deputies, the JLC, Saracens, Israel Bonds, Elal, Ultimate Promotions, CST and the Jewish Volunteering Network.
