Israeli taekwondo loses opening fight in Rio
Ron Atias has been beaten in his first contest at the Olympic Games.
The Israeli was taking on home favourite Venilton Teixeira in the last 16 clash of the men’s -58kg event.
However, while producing only two offensive kicks, it was the four overhead kicks from his opponents which helped him to a 16-2 win.
The 21-year-old can still claim a medal in the repechage
