Jewish Family Centre raises £275k in Charity Extra campaign
Community comes together to support families facing silent struggles
The Jewish Family Centre has raised £275k through its recent match-funding campaign, providing a significant boost to the charity’s work supporting children, parents and families across the Jewish community.
The 36-hour campaign, which took place on 31 May and 1 June, was built around the theme “The Sound of Silence”, highlighting the challenges families face behind closed doors.
The JFC enables families to access services including counselling and therapy, family support, parenting guidance, advocacy with schools and statutory agencies, supervised contact visits, and practical assistance.
The campaign comes as the organisation celebrates its 25th anniversary; founded by Sandy Weinbaum as a welcoming space for parents and children to connect, the Jewish Family Centre has grown into the community’s only organisation providing such a broad range of holistic family support under one roof.
She said: “The success of this campaign demonstrates the incredible compassion that exists within our community. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our match funders, Team Leaders, donors and supporters, more families will receive the counselling, practical support and compassionate care they need, and more children will have the chance to simply be children again.
“As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us reach this milestone and to those who continue to ensure that no family has to face life’s challenges alone.”
