Jewish youth group gets funding to help include those with learning difficulties
JLGB chosen to run the next two-year phase of the Judith Trust's Inclusion Campaign to allow 'hundreds' of young people to take part in activities
A Jewish youth group has been given funding to take part in a campaign to help people with learning difficulties or mental health problems feel more included.
JLGB (Jewish Lads and Girls Brigade) was chosen to run the next two-year phase of the Judith Trust’s Inclusion Campaign, after running activities for young people with physical and learning difficulties across its network, including its adapted kosher Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition provision.
Jo Richler of The Judith Trust said the new collaboration “will bring to hundreds of young women and men with individual needs who want to be part of our community and take part in all it has to offer.”
The Campaign’s advisory group consists of representatives from across the Jewish spectrum, including rabbis and Jewish and social care providers. Richler said this “ensures a cross-communal approach to inclusion so that no one in our community is left out.”
