Magen David Adom UK dedicates medicycle to departing Israeli envoy Mark Regev
'Members of my own family have proudly volunteered with MDA in Israel and have experienced first-hand the vital lifesaving work that they do,' the diplomat said
Magen David Adom UK has dedicated a medicycle to honour Israel’s departing envoy to the UK, Mark Regev.
On seeing the vehicle at a socially-distanced ceremony at the Israeli embassy in Kensington last week, the top diplomat, 60, said: “This thoughtful gesture from MDA’s friends here in the UK was very moving.”
“Members of my own family have proudly volunteered with MDA in Israel and have experienced first-hand the vital lifesaving work that they do,” he added.
Regev was joined by MDA UK’s chief executive Daniel Burger and chairman Russell Jacobs and a board member Barbara Dingle.
Burger said: “We are extremely grateful to Ambassador Regev for his support of our lifesaving work over the years. And on a personal level, Mark has been a good friend and a really great mentor too. We wish him the best of luck in the future.”
