Anti-Israel protesters shouted 'long live the intifada' outside the event in Philadelphia
Anti-Israel protesters set an Israeli flag on fire outside the Democratic Party’s National Convention, with some shouting “long live the intifada.”
A video emerged of a woman dressed in black, with her face covered, placing the flag on a fire outside the event in Philadelphia.
Protesters also waved Palestinian flags and burned pro-Bernie Sanders fliers according to Times of Israel.
Inside the convention hall, supporters of unsuccessful Jewish Vermont senator Sanders held demonstrations, in spite of his appeal for them to support Hillary Clinton.
The former US secretary of state and first lady earlier made history by becoming America’s the first woman to be nominated for president by a major political party.
Clinton put an electrifying cap on the Democratic convention’s second night, speaking by satellite video and offering this message to any little girls who might have stayed up to see the ground-breaking moment on Tuesday night: “I may become the first woman president, but one of you is next.”
