Sacks and the City: JLE brings industry titans to young professionals
Advertising guru Sir Martin Sorrell and entertainment maven David Sacks talk shop for the Jewish Learning Exchange.
Industry titan Sir Martin Sorrell has shared his insights on leadership and entrepreneurship at a Golders Green social centre for young Jews.
The JLE (Jewish Learning Exchange) Business Breakfast at the prestigious Outernet venue in central London gathered longstanding patrons as well as new friends, young professionals and alumni associated with the organisation, for a morning of networking and discussion.
Sir Martin spoke about global affairs, delving into the economic and political tensions between the USA and China, and the need for cooperation, the tensions between Europe and Russia, and those between Israel and Iran.
Rabbi Benjy Morgan, CEO of JLE said: “We were honoured to have Sir Martin host a talk for us. His extensive knowledge and expertise provided valuable insights to our guests, and it was a thought-provoking and engaging session.”
The organisation also hosted a special taster session titled “How Holy is Hollywood?” on Wednesday 3rd May at its north London headquarters.
Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning writer David Sacks, known for his work on popular TV shows like The Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, and Third Rock from the Sun, shared his story, offering insights into the intersection of faith and the entertainment industry.
Rabbi Benjy Morgan, CEO of JLE said: “Being Jewishly connected in the modern world today should not be a challenge and a cause for isolation, instead it should enrich our lives and work. David is testament to the relevance of Judaism, working on some of the most famous shows in Hollywood, he nevertheless is a proud and practicing Jew.”
