Still don’t know what presents to buy for Chanukah? Check out our suggestions
Food and drink, jewellery, toys and even a talking dog - we've got gifting wrapped up this season
Doughnuts have been in the shops for weeks and I’ve been shown how to make latkes by every influencer I follow yet it seems as though Chanukah has sprung upon us out of nowhere and I’m panicking that I still have presents to buy.
My husband has declared Chanukah a present-free zone saying it’s just for kids but I’m having none of it and he and all our adult kids shall get a first-night gift like always.
If you’re still looking for inspiration here’s some I found while doing my research. For north Londoners most can be picked up locally if you don’t want to rely on post or deliveries.

FOR FOODIES
Kernel & Co‘s handcrafted gourmet popcorn is made in London, is beautifully packaged and it’s kosher (Kedassia certified) and vegan. On top of all that it’s everything you want in a popcorm – delicious, crunchy, sweet, satisfying and dangerously (but gorgeously) moreish. Flavours include mint chocolate, peanut butter carmel, cookies & cream, birthday sprinkle and coffee caramel. There are different sized bags and great gifting options including, for Chanukah, an amazing value party box which has eight medium packs of all the flavours in box for £39.99 including delivery (normally £6 per bag plus £4 delivery). Visit kernelandco.co.uk and place orders on sales@kernelandco.co.uk or via WhatsApp on wa.me/c/442087078089.
Kosher cookies from just £1.50? That makes it easy to order a box of six – the perfect gift if you’re going to someone for Chanukah or just to put out if you’re doing the hosting. Giant cookies and personalised ones also available. All handmade by Deni’s Kitchen. Instagram @_denikitchen
If it’s Chanukah it’s gotta be sweet – right? @sweets_4_my_sweet_1 has sweet treats galore – even dreidel-shaped chocolate dipped strawberries – personal friendly service and home delivery.

FOR ‘FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER’ FANS
Channel 4’s Friday Night Dinner may have been about the chaos of the Goodman household, but let’s be honest — the true star was Jim, the awkwardly lovable neighbour with his faithful dog Wilson. Forever angling for a seat at the Goodmans’ table — and not-so-secretly swooning over Jackie — Jim has now made it into your home in the form of Talking Jim. Press the button and bingo “Shalom”, while he savours the aroma of the chicken soup, and issues commands to Wilson that are of course ignored. You can buy Talking Jim (£19.99) and a Jim ‘shalom’ t-shirt (£17.99) at scificollectorshop.co.uk
And now to get it all wrapped up – Sarah Harris sells Jewish cards, gift-wrap, bunting and advent tags for Chanukah and all year round. onceuponateacup.etsy.com
