Pixel 7 Pro is Google’s top tier smartphone. While it’s not very revolutionary it’s more evolutionary, and that’s not a bad thing.

- Nice design. Google kept the camera bar layout on the back with a premium glossy finish
- Google has improved the under-screen fingerprint sensor and added face unlock after last year’s version proved unreliable
- The screen is excellent. Punchy colours, vibrant and fluid. Everything you’d expect from a flagship phone.
- Cameras are always Google’s strength, and this year is no different. Pictures were consistently good in most situations. It makes for one of the easiest pick-up-and-shoot cameras on the market.
- The phone runs on Android 13, which I found to be the most fluid version of Android on any smartphone so far with no stutter or lag
- Works in harmony with the new Google Pixel watch
- Battery life was decent for light to mid use. If you’re a heavier user like me then you may end up with 15% battery at the end of the day
Nil points
- Speakers are ok but don’t get as loud as some other flagship phones
- The phone will only receive three years of Android OS updates, which is less than Samsung and Apple offer

I’ve been really happy using the Pixel 7 Pro over the last few months. Google has done a good job refining issues from last year’s model and making it an excellent all-round phone.
