Thousands expected at the ‘Stand with Israel’ rally in central London on Sunday
Israeli government spokesman Eylon Levy and Conservative peer Lord Pickles to speak at event marking 100 days since 7 October
A solidarity event in support of Israel takes place in London at 2.30pm this Sunday to mark 100 days since the 7th October Hamas terror massacre.
Organised by the 7/10 Human Chain volunteer-led organisation, the rally will feature influential speakers from diverse backgrounds, including media, government, and faith leaders representing the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim communities.
Working closely with the Hostages and Missing Persons Families Forum, 7/10 Human Chain is a grassroots organisation campaigning to bring home the remaining 136 hostages held in Gaza.
Speakers include Eylon Levy, official spokesperson for the government of Israel; Lord Pickles, Conservative Peer, Christian Wakeford, MP Labour; Ayelet Svatitzky, a British Israeli whose mother and brother were abducted by Hamas, Ben Freeman, influencer and writer; Reverend Hayley Ace, Christians Action Against Antisemitism.
Orit Eyal-Fibeesh, co-founder of 7/10 Human Chain Organisation tells Jewish News: “It’s been nearly 100 days since the vicious attack on Israel, resulting in the tragic loss of lives and harm to thousands of citizens. Three months have passed since innocent civilians, some as young as 9 months old, were captured by a terrorist organisation of the worst kind. Despite this, the streets of London are filled with hate towards Israel, often fueled by ignorance.
“The Stand with Israel Rally aims to call out to all Jewish and Israelis as well as friends and allies, urging them to stand with Israel as we hold our heads high, demonstrating our pride and unity in unwavering solidarity and support.
“The people of Israel are not alone, and together we will overcome Hamas and those who support it and call out loud – bring our hostages home.”
The event is supported by the British Board of Deputies, Campaign Against Anti-Semitism, the Israeli embassy in London, the Jewish Leadership Council (JLC), the Sephardi community, the United Synagogue, UJIA and UJS.
