Tomer Hemed earns Brighton draw in Switzerland
Israeli striker heads in second half equaliser in Premier League side's opening pre-season friendly match
Israeli striker Tomer Hemed has begun his pre-season in scoring fashion after he earned Brighton & Hove Albion a 1-1 draw in its opening pre-season match.
The forward has slipped down the pecking order at the Amex Stadium, though was on target in Switzerland, when he headed home a 59th minute equaliser, from Oliver Norwood’s cross, to earn a 1-1 draw against St Gallen.
One of nine second half substitutes, his compatriot, Beram Kayal, played the first 45 minutes.
Linked with a move away from the club, due to his struggles to get back into the starting XI, he posted on Facebook afterwards: “Nice to finish the training camp with a goal”
