Tory and Labour MPs pack for Mitzvah Day
Those taking part in the event, hosted by Leeds MP Alex Sobel included parliamentarians Robert Courts, Kate Green, Robert Halfon, Theresa Villiers and Kim Leadbeater.
Conservative and Labour MPs united for the parliamentary launch of Mitzvah Day.
Those taking part in the event, hosted by Leeds MP Alex Sobel – who is Jewish and brought his children – included transport minister Robert Courts, shadow education secretary Kate Green, Tory MPs Robert Halfon and Theresa Villiers and Labour’s Kim Leadbeater.
They packed kits for the charity Comfort Cases UK, which supports youngsters entering foster care.
Mitzvah Day Chief Executive Georgina Bye said: “We have deeply missed in-person events and so, as we launched Mitzvah Day 2021 in Parliament along with the Board of Deputies, we celebrated togetherness.”
