Jeremy Corbyn goes to concentration camp on Czech visit
The leader of the opposition paid tribute to victims of Theresienstadt where over 150,000 Jews were sent
The leader of the opposition has visited Terezin concentration camp memorial in the Czech Republic.
Jeremy Corbyn visited the World War II site, to which mainly German Austrian and Dutch Jewish prisoners were held.
More than 150,000 Jews were sent there, including 15,000 children, with many sent from there to Auschwitz or Treblinka.
Corbyn tweeted: “Yesterday, I visited Terezin Memorial – a World War II concentration camp and former Jewish ghetto. Never forget”.
The Labour leader visited the camp during a trip to the country to meet with European socialist parties.
