Milch ends year with stunning knockout win
Boxer makes it 12 wins from 12 with devastating performance at York Hall.
Tony Milch ended the year in blockbusting fashion with a fourth round KO as he made it 12 wins from 12 at York Hall on Saturday evening.

Up against Hungarian Ferenc Katona, the 35-year-old super-welterweight claimed he turned in his “strongest performance to date” as a quick-fire combination ending with a strong right hand sent Katona to the canvas.
Milch said: “I thought it was my strongest performance to date, if not best. I just wanted to show that I can punch and box – and think I did.
“It was really satisfying because I wanted to show I’ve got the power to get a knockout, people always said ‘Tony’s a good puncher, but where’s his punch’. To cap the year off, which has been a great one winning a title, with a win like that was brilliant.”
Ending a year which has seen him claim his first belt, he said: “It’s been a great year. Now I want to move up the rankings and push on to the next level. I won an entry-level title in the summer and am now looking to go on to a bigger platform and a bigger stage and hopefully box on some bigger shows.”
Hoping for his next fight to take place early next year, he said: “I’ll keep ticking over. I’m always fit, all year-round, am never far away from my fight weight, so I’ll relax a bit, but stay in good shape ahead of the next fight.
“I’ve proved myself at this level – 12 wins from 12 fights, I’ve proved that I want it, am really happy to still have the Star of David on my shorts and also want to continue promoting the Jewish community.”
