Milch on a mission ahead of twelfth pro fight
Boxer looking to build on his title win as he gets set for next bout.
Light middleweight boxer Tony Milch says he’s aiming to show he’s a championship level fighter when he returns to the ring next weekend at York Hall.
Having secured the International Challenge belt in his last fight, the 35-year-old, takes on Norwich-born Duane Green in what will be his 12th professional bout – as he looks to maintain his 100 percent winning run.
He said: “I’m looking to show I am a championship level fighter, and will use the fight to demonstrate the skills I’ve been working on.”
Scheduled for six rounds, he said: “It’s a non-title fight, but I will it treat it like one. Winning my first title has added to my confidence and I’ve been ticking over in the gym since last boxing in the summer. I’ve been raising the training as it gets closer to fight night, am sparring with heavier fighters and increasing my strength and conditioning work.”
Looking forward to ‘a good fight’, he adds: “By putting on a good show, I hope 2017 will then bring bigger and exciting opportunities.”
