Israeli goalkeeper Daniel Peretz has completed a permanent move to Southampton after spending the second half of last season on loan with the Championship club.

The 25-year-old announced the deal on social media, thanking the club, supporters and his family after Southampton agreed a permanent transfer from Bayern Munich.

Peretz wrote: “Really happy and excited to sign permanently for the club.

“Big thanks to the club, the board and the staff for the trust

“To my agents @bms_sportconsulting, my dear family and perfect wife!

“And for you, all the fans that gave me so much love from the first second.

“Now it’s time for us all to work hard!

“Let’s go and do it together.”

The Israeli international joined Southampton on loan in January, arriving from German giants Bayern Munich after a previous spell with Hamburg.

Speaking when he first joined the club, Peretz said: “I am really happy to make this move to Southampton. It is a great club in a good league, and I’m really looking forward to start(ing) already.”

He also made clear his ambition to help restore Southampton to the top flight, describing the Saints as “a legit Premier League club”.

“I think our goal is to bring it to where it belongs,” he said. “It will not be easy, but we are here to do it, to work hard, to believe.”

Peretz began his professional career with Maccabi Tel Aviv before joining Bayern Munich in 2023.

He married Israeli singer and actress Noa Kirel in November 2025. The couple have been among Israel’s most recognisable celebrity pairings since first publicly revealing their relationship in 2023.

Peretz is one of only a small number of Israeli players to have represented Southampton, following former midfielder Eyal Berkovic, who played for the club during the 1996-97 season.
